Treating Facial Veins with

YAG Laser

What is YAG laser treatment for facial veins?

YAG laser can be used to treat facial veins. In fact the smaller and more superficial the veins, the easier they are to treat.

The laser safely uses pulses of light to target the dilated blood vessels with heat and destroy them, leaving the surrounding areas of skin unaffected.

The laser energy also stimulates skin healing and cell renewal in the treated area so that skin looks clearer and healthier.

Treatment is performed in a clinical environment, following a detailed consultation and physical examination to assess your suitability for treatment. Details of the procedure, recovery ,potential outcomes and cost will be explained in full.

How soon will I
notice results?

It can depend on the size and number ofbroken facial capillaries together with your general medical condition. You mayneed three to four treatment sessions for optimum results.

Each session lasts around 15 minutesand is usually carried out three to four weeks apart.

How long does YAG last?

YAG Laser treatment gives permanent results.

How safe is YAG laser treatment for facial veins?

YAG laser treatment is carried out under local anesthesia and is precise, gentle and effective. A cooling tip minimizes any discomfort and you may just feel a pinging sensation. Some slight bruising or swelling may appear in the area treated, but should disappear within several hours. Any crusts or scabs that form must be left to come away naturally.

Downtime, if any, is minimal and you can resume regular activities right away. Sun protection factor should be worn to protect the skin and reduce the risk of pigmentation.
